Artificial Climbing
Artificial climbing is defined as taking place on man-made walls and towers both indoors and outside.
The majority of people are introduced to climbing on artificial walls these days as they are relatively safe and comfortable places to learn the ropes as well as being local - and good fun of course!
We are lucky in Kent to have multiple walls and towers located around the county as well as the Climbing Centre at Lower Grange Farm, which is effectively the base for the Climbing Team.
Kent Scouts have the ability to teach young people and adults climbing at artificial locations, and we can even train and assess adults within the Scout Association who wish to become instructors themselves.
If you are an adult in Scouting or Explorer Scout and have an interest in becoming a climbing instructor, then please take a look at our climbing permit page.
